Instructions

For 1 lb meat: use measurements as stated above.

For 2-3 lbs of meat: double the measurements above (do NOT triple for 3 lbs).

Add ground meat to a large bowl.

Add breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper to the bowl.

Mix thoroughly with your hands.

Make patties using a hamburger press or by rolling balls and pressing them flat. You will need about 1/4 lb per burger (around tennis ball-sized balls).

Cook on a grill or frying pan.

Tips

The best mixing method is using your hands. It's gross, but effective.

This recipe has some flavor, but you should season your burgers with your favorite seasoning as you cook them.

You can omit the onion powder, but if you do, make SURE to season your burgers while cooking.

Homemade burgers tend to "puff up" when cooked. To avoid "meatballs", press your finger or the back of a spoon gently into the center of the burger before cooking.
